About the film

The idea of The Wrong Mr Johnson first came in the mid 90’s when I was living in Rome. An actress I knew was involved with a guy who did too many drugs, became aggressive and used to make a habit of humiliating her. She thought she loved him and understood him, and where no one else could take this guy, she defended him, in spite of the fact that he treated her badly.
